Amy Zelinsky began her career in the event world while still a teen in high school. Producing a fashion show of her own designs during her senior year – at the time an aspiring fashion designer – Amy felt an affinity for production. Continuing her entrance into the world of fashion, Amy attended Woodbury University in Burbank, CA, where she earned her bachelor's degree in fashion design. Her college internship at a fashion show production company was the first turning point in her career path. Event production was where she was meant to be.
When the internship ended, Amy decided to further explore the world of event production more, attending various industry events. Networking led to several consulting jobs over the following years, where she gained corporate and non-profit event management experience. It was the wedding of her best friend that changed her career focus once again. In the process of whisking the bride away from the hotel to the ceremony, Amy forgot her much-needed matching wrap. The last thing she remembered was the wedding planner closing the door to the limousine saying, "don't worry about it." The door opened at the ceremony site and magically the wrap appeared in the hands of the calm, cool, and collected planner. As the emotional maid of honor, that level of customer service inspired Amy to act. She shifted her focus to include social events, and has since produced events ranging from intimate gatherings of 20, to extravagant galas of 500, to corporate trade shows of 1000.
While Amy enjoys producing any event (even game night at home is a production!), her true passion is creating that perfect atmosphere for the special moments in her clients' lives. Her years of experience fostered endless creativity and a talent for recognizing and eliminating the stress that so often accompanies life's big moments. To her, there is no better feeling than seeing the smile on her client's face at the end of the night.
Throughout her career, Amy has worked with such organizations as American Heart Association, Children's Hospital Orange County, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the Salvation Army. Amy received her Certified Meeting Professional designation in 2009, and is a member of the Wedding Industry Professionals Association, the International Special Events Society and Meeting Professionals International.
